Welcome

We have loved travelling to Nova Scotia for years and years. We started by renting a cottage for 2 weeks 11 years ago. Then we had family move to Halifax and travelled to the east coast 2 or 3 times each year to visit them. Each time we visited, we fell more in love with the province and dreamed about living there.

Then all of a sudden it was the right time in our lives. We were empty nesters. John's stint in municipal politics was in hiatus. And it was "now or never"...as in...if we didn't do it now, we'd never do it.

We found a 20 acre property in the country along the south shore of Nova Scotia. We sold our Ontario home and our Ontario business and we moved to our new home with our cat and 3 dogs in May 2008.
